I have this all natural hair dye that's called light mahogany chestnut, and it's sort of a light reddish purple color i guess, but with brown undertones. and I was wondering if I could mix anything with it to make it a darker color.

If you are not a colorist then please, oh please, don't try it. There are some great coloring kits out there with highlights and lowlights..get one.
