Highlights: are the chemicals bad? should I try "natural" color (my hair is light copper/a

Wondering if the chemicals are harsh? I have natural hair (no colors on it currently) and my stylist mentioned we wouldn't have to bleach for the highlights. Just wondering if the other chemicals are bad for you.

Highlights: are the chemicals bad? should I try "natural" color (my hair is light copper/auburnish)

you can add highlights without using bleach...using color instead can give you the look you want without drying the hair as much..color is not as harsh...whatever you decide to do just condition good afterwards and your hair will be fine.

Highlights: are the chemicals bad? should I try "natural" color (my hair is light copper/auburnish)

yeah...if you highlight your hair to much you can damage it.....it may become rough and starts to get frizzy...you can highlight it and stuff, but don't do it to much

What products should I use on my hair, since I recently went natural???

I've been checking out Miss Jessie's and Carols Daughter websites, but I would like to sample the products as this trial and error stuff can get kinda expensive. Also, I'm looking for a salon, not a braid shop, that specializes in natural hair care in the Detroit area. Any advice is appreciated. ; - %26gt;

What products should I use on my hair, since I recently went natural???

Try Northwest Scents natural black hair care products. You can find out more about them at http://www.black-hair-growth.info/black-...

As far as salons go, try http://www.salonsofamerica.com

They have a large database of black hair salons from all across the US.

How do you color grey out of your hair when you just want to cover the grey and leave natural hair c

I love the color of my hair and it is starting to go grey! I don't want to color it, but the grey by my forhead is starting to be really obvious. The other problem is I have dark auburn hair with natural red/coper streaks (the streaks are caused by a couple of birthmarks. Instead of the typical white hair that people get with birthmarks, I have gorgous fire red in those spots). I know that auburn/red is hard to match... What do I do?

HELP!!!

How do you color grey out of your hair when you just want to cover the grey and leave natural hair color?

Ok, well you cant just color the grey hair... It isnt possible. You do have a couple of choices though 1) you can use a rinse on your hair that you put on about once a week. You can find these rinses in any hair supply store, just look for the color that matches your hair best 2) You can use hair mascara to cover the large obvious spots. You can find this at any specialty hair store, or look it up on the web!

Back to natural african hair?

Ok, I am debating on whether I want to go natural with my hair. What is the best way to so this? I've read alot that just chopping off the perm is better than transtioning, but I am afraid of losing my length. It's a really confusing time for me right now. I do want my hair natural and I love the style, just how should I go about it? Thanks for any help.

Back to natural african hair?

I'm transitioning too. You don't have to cut off all the length right about. I've been cutting if 4 inches at a time over a couple of months and keeping it in protective styles. Start using natural products too they really help.

these websites have really helpful information about the ways to transition and tips on taking care of your natural hair. Yahoo Groups also has a couple of groups that offer support for transitioners which is really great if everybody around you is trying to discourage you from going natural

Does it look dumb if you have blonde hair and you let your natural color show?

iam going to let my natural color grow. its med. brown. but will it look dumb to have those two colors. i want my natural hair color but blonde to brown will look like trash.

Does it look dumb if you have blonde hair and you let your natural color show?

just let it grow out . it'll only be temporarily . or u can find ur natural match and dye it to that color

Does it look dumb if you have blonde hair and you let your natural color show?

I don't think so all my friend and me do it i think its cute

Does it look dumb if you have blonde hair and you let your natural color show?

only for awhile. go natural

Does it look dumb if you have blonde hair and you let your natural color show?

You should just dye your hair a color similar to your natural med. brown until all the blonde is grown out. Loreal Preference is a really good dye. I am doing the same thing right now and am trying to get rid of my bleach blonde and just have my normal golden blonde natural color.

Does it look dumb if you have blonde hair and you let your natural color show?

Just go in to your local salon and ask them to dye your hair, usually a colour nearest your natural shade!

Does it look dumb if you have blonde hair and you let your natural color show?

One possibility is streaks in the shade of your natural color throughout the blonde. That'll soften the harshness at the hair line.

Does it look dumb if you have blonde hair and you let your natural color show?

Dye your hair a color close to the color of your natural hair, and then eventually you can cut off the dyed hair and will be left with just natural color.

Does it look dumb if you have blonde hair and you let your natural color show?

absolutely wrong, go to a good salon and have the colour filled in the put a demi permanent over to speed the process up, leaving it to grow out naturally could take forever and will look trashy, do yourself a favour and spend the money, self preservation counts!

I am a hairstylist.

Does it look dumb if you have blonde hair and you let your natural color show?

Just dye it close to ur natural hair color

Does it look dumb if you have blonde hair and you let your natural color show?

if it's your natural hair color stick with it! natural hair color looks way better than died hair! im sure you look beautiful with your natural hair color! but you may be going through a growing stage so it may be tough but i bet you look way better with natural hair color then black hair color or something! like my hair color is mostl;y brown then when i got older it is blond and brown and i love my natural hair color! so be like me and love your hair color too!

I need color ideas for highlighting my hair. I am a black female with natural hair. Any ideas?

I was thinking about trying Aveda to do it for me since their products are all natural. My hair is thick and coarse if anyone can help I would appreciate it.

I need color ideas for highlighting my hair. I am a black female with natural hair. Any ideas?

a dark chestnut would look more natural then some of the other suggestions you could buy some extensions that are of the same texture color #33 or #30 to see the results wear it a few days and see how you like it or go to the wig shop and try on a few differnt colors to see what color matches your skin-toneif you are feeling wild go for #27 lol or #99j

fushia plum, or crimson will show up really nice in your hair. I suggest trying a rinse out temp, that way you won't be stuck with a color you don't like.

I need color ideas for highlighting my hair. I am a black female with natural hair. Any ideas?

red, dark red and bright red in combonation to give it some dimension

I need color ideas for highlighting my hair. I am a black female with natural hair. Any ideas?

Talk to the stylist that does your hair. They will have the best ideas of what would look good with your skin coloring and hair type. I think color should reflect on your personality. I think either an auburn or blond streaks might look kinda cool though.

I need color ideas for highlighting my hair. I am a black female with natural hair. Any ideas?

I think that depends on if you want to stand out , or fit in ,or if you just want something not one person has. If you want something that is not to LOOK AT ME ,go with red (my x-ant had that and it looked great) or brown it is not that much you can do that can go wrong with brown!I HOPE I HELPED!

Anyone know some home remedies for getting your hair back to it's natural colours?

My hair color is gradualy comeing back but its takeing a long time.what could I do to get my natural hair colour back?

I agree with guru Bob. Just shave it all off and start again!

A HOME remedy? No...Find a colorist who will strip your hair of all the dye and have her restore it to your natural color.

Anyone know some home remedies for getting your hair back to it's natural colours?

let it grow out.

Anyone know some home remedies for getting your hair back to it's natural colours?

You want it back honestly? Pay a professional for color repair but expect to pay $120 an hour.

Anyone know some home remedies for getting your hair back to it's natural colours?

What I did was find a hair color that was closest to my natural color, and dyed it. That way when my hair grew it would be close to the color of the dye, and you couldn't really tell it.

Anyone know some home remedies for getting your hair back to it's natural colours?

I know it's expensive...but you need a professional colorist. Check out one of your local beauty schools for some help.

Anyone know some home remedies for getting your hair back to it's natural colours?

I knew a cosmetologist who told me that Prell would take color out of your hair if you use it repeatedly. Would be worth a try.

If that doesn't work you might want to try coloring your hair a shade that is very close to your natural shade.

Anyone know some home remedies for getting your hair back to it's natural colours?

I WAS TOLD THAT DISH SOAP CAN STRIP COLOR FROM COLORED HAIR ESPECIALLY RED COLOR ADDED.

Anyone know some home remedies for getting your hair back to it's natural colours?

did you bleach it? what did you do?

if you bleached it, there's nothing you can do except let it grow out.

Anyone know some home remedies for getting your hair back to it's natural colours?

go to the beauty salon and die it back to your natrual color. Other then that there's really no remedie.

Anyone know some home remedies for getting your hair back to it's natural colours?

Well, you could find a stylist who could put highlights or low lights in your hair; this would even out the halo effect you get while growing out the undesired color. Best advice-let the pro's handle it- not Fantastic Sam's or Walmart.

Anyone know some home remedies for getting your hair back to it's natural colours?

To do it safely without damaging your hair you should see a professional.

Anyone know some home remedies for getting your hair back to it's natural colours?

Just be patient and wait for it to grow long, then cut the ends or the colored part.

WELL DYE YOUR HAIR TTO THE CLOSEST COLOR TO YOUR NATURAL COLOR AND LET IT GROW OUT

Wrapping natural 4a black hair STRAIGHT?

Hi,

I've been wearing my hair natural for years and plan to continue, but I'm tired of wearing just a puffy ponytail and I want to change up my look. I have soft and completely natural 4a black hair. Is it possible to use the wrapping technique to make me hair straight or at least straighter? I've worn relaxed straight hair before, but I don't want to bother with chemicals -- that's how my hair got messed up so many times before. I just want to have a straight style when I want to without having to use chemicals or heat. If anyone can help, I'd appreciate it.

Wrapping natural 4a black hair STRAIGHT?

I don't know wrapping techique but i know this...

. I discovered this about 3 months ago and now my hair flows in the wind and is so weightless and healthy. And no i do not have a relaxer i stopped getting them 5 years ago ( and i've only have 3 relaxers in my life time so this is all natural) it amazes me.

1. The shampoo, unfortunately many black women are using shampoos with alcohol and petroleum jelly. step away from them. Use Aveda's shampoo.. specifically the name is Brilliant...go to the website. I use it, i love it, it mouisterizes my hair and the products are natural. i have also heard that KeraCare is good.

2. Okay, step two condition it and then it is time to comb it out, Do not use a brush on you hair when it is wet,,it will hate you for it then break off in revenge.

3. Do a hot oil treatment atleast once a month with extra virgin olive oil...repeat..EXTRA VIRGIN olive oil..not the regular stuff. unfortunately i have yet to take this step however my hair is doing great.

4. Okay on the daily basis you need to pay close attention to your hair...i recommend conditioning your scalp and your ends so that they will not get dry and unhealthy

Petroleum jellly and mineral oil are weapons of mass destruction,,it does so much harm to your hair it cannot be all explained here. So you ask what do I use...well natural oils

jojoba oi, extra virgin olive oil, sesame oil, emu oil, coconut oil...all these natural oils and more love you..i promise.

5. Next,,if you want your hair straight but still be natural it is time to get a freakin good flat iron.,i have the Chi..it does the job but I recommend getting the Sedu because of the good reviews. make sure to protect your hair..i have so thermal protector from Aveda.

6. Eat healthy, drink lots of water,

7. take multivitamins, and fish oil pills you can get from GNC.

Follow these steps and life will be good..the best part about flat iron (which i do once a week or every two weeks not everday since it will kill your hair) is that it is not stringy but thick and healthy, yet straight and light enough to blow in the wind.

Wrapping natural 4a black hair STRAIGHT?

do a rollerset first and then you can wrap it at night....i have natural hair too, but i don't classify it because none of the classifications fit me, my hair varies all over my head, but rollerset first or you can do a press %26amp; curl

To those that have used Garnier 100% Blue Black on your natural black hair, how were your results?

My natural hair color is black and I'm thinking if using the Garnier 100% Blue Black. If your natural hair color is black and you have used Blue Black, how were your results? Did the blue show up pretty well? If you have pictures of your results, can you please show them to me? Thanks.

To those that have used Garnier 100% Blue Black on your natural black hair, how were your results?

i used it

the blue only showed a lil in certain lights and it wasnt really even a blue

and it gave me a bad rash

As an african-american woman, what products are best for natural hair(unrelaxed)?

So far I have been using Pantene for women of color but is it anything out there just for natural hair that's works really good at making the hair soft %26amp; managable?

As an african-american woman, what products are best for natural hair(unrelaxed)?

Hey there! I'm going natural myself, but I'm in the transitioning phase (micros). From the research I've done so far, use products like coconut oil and shea butter, and DON'T USE SHAMPOO! Shampoo is not good for natural (unrelaxed) hair because it dries it out too much. Do the no-poo (or co-wash) where you wash your hair with conditioner only. You hair gets just as clean, but without losing its much needed moisture.

Try Carols daughter's They are alittle bit pricey but they are natural products for natural hair. Jada , Mary and others use it

As an african-american woman, what products are best for natural hair(unrelaxed)?

The best thing to do is make sure you have a very good conditioner. Try using the cholesterol conditioner and use the extra conditioning packs that you buy at beauty supply stores for like $.99. My hair is very tangled when I wash it, but the pack make it easy to manage.

As an african-american woman, what products are best for natural hair(unrelaxed)?

I second the Garnier Fructis. Even though my hair is relaxed I recently started usinig it, and notices that the new growth is just as soft as my relzed hair.

The conditioning mask works wonders. One thing to remember with natural hair is to change you shampoo and conditioner ever so often.

Black girls, How do you feel about black girls with natural hair and being opposed to perms?

I have natural hair and some girls with perms scolded me about it saying omg girl your hair is nappy you need a perm. I got over it. It doesn't bother me at all now.

Black girls, How do you feel about black girls with natural hair and being opposed to perms?

I LOVE natural hair. It is so different and unique. I hate that so many sistas perm claiming that it is for this and that when they know the real reason is just a complex. However if black girls wanna perm fine. Ima keep growing my hair out until i get a nice big sexy fro, and ima rock it to school proudly.

Just keep your head up and if they keep scolding you then educate them. tell them to that you are happy to be nappy and at least you arent trying to be something that you arent. maybe you need to show them this

http://youtube.com/watch?v=xGDMevuZZVM

and make them realize that the attitude that they have is the reason that so many young black girls hate themselves and wish they weren't black.

Black girls, How do you feel about black girls with natural hair and being opposed to perms?

i feel the same way my hair is REALLY curl and nappy when i straighten my hair my friends say it looks better straight so i kinda think do they not lyk my curly hair but i just deal wit it.

Black girls, How do you feel about black girls with natural hair and being opposed to perms?

In the USA, natural "black" hair is seen as unattractive, particularly in the African American community. Then again, many white women also feel pressure to straighten their hair. I applaud all women who fight the pressure to conform to unnatural, unrealistic standards of beauty.

Black girls, How do you feel about black girls with natural hair and being opposed to perms?

Just because some black girls perm there hair that do not mean every black girl need to do the same. Once you put all them chemicals in your hair it damage it. If you feel comfortable with your hair the way it is then leave along and let them get over it.

Sometimes when you put a perm in your hair it cause your hair to break and become damage if you do not take care of your hair because that is what happen to me.

Black girls, How do you feel about black girls with natural hair and being opposed to perms?

It's Great! I'm mixed and just recently stopped getting my hair permed.. it looks alot healtheier now and so pretty...and when you want it straight its okay to straighten every once in a while.. i'ts cool... yea some ppl say that to me too about the perm thing but having natural hair makes it grow longer

Black girls, How do you feel about black girls with natural hair and being opposed to perms?

i also have natural hair, but i am not necessarily opposed to perms, I'm actually thinking about getting one, but i am afraid that if i want to go natural again, all of my hair will fall out

Black girls, How do you feel about black girls with natural hair and being opposed to perms?

You have every right to wear your hair without chemicals. My problem is w/my 6yr old daughter. She inherited the long hair length from my husbands side but the thick coarseness from my side. Even an old fashion "put it on the stove" pressing comb only keeps it straight for a day. My mom says I have to wait until she is about 8 to perm it. I'm counting the days!

Black girls, How do you feel about black girls with natural hair and being opposed to perms?

having natural hair is beautiful.

Black girls, How do you feel about black girls with natural hair and being opposed to perms?

im indian and i have black friends that go to my school. 1 girl name shelly she has a natural lomg afro and every guy says she pretty and girls say shes pretty they always say oh but she needs a perm or get a hotcomb in her hair. they always bug her about her hair saying oh u know shes pretty but her hair is eww. she even told me her own grandmother say she need to do something with her hair and she also told me her family members tell her to marry a guy with my type of indian hair. i was so offended by this is told her to marry a guy who u love not because of hair. as a indian girl i can relate to u black women about hair because when it comes to hair pressure it doesnt only happen in the black community it happens in the indian community i used to have long hair to my butt when the hairdresser cut it it was up to my neck my hair is no longer silky all my indian friends bug me about getting long indian hair and telling me only indian women have strong hair unlike other girls. they always think that their hair is the best in the world. even people who are not indian always expect me as a indian woman to have hair that grow fast and silky but honestly my hair grows just like anyone else. at first i was ashame of my hair now im not and im glad u got over it sweetie. because hair is hair as long as u take care of it get regular trims and treatments u are good. dont worry about stupid ignorant people. dont change for stupid ppl love ur self and ur hair

Black girls, How do you feel about black girls with natural hair and being opposed to perms?

Whatever floats your boat!!!

Black girls, How do you feel about black girls with natural hair and being opposed to perms?

i like black girl hair because you can do alot of neat stuff with it that don't look so hot in the other types of hair! i wish i had thick black girl hair!

Black girls, How do you feel about black girls with natural hair and being opposed to perms?

natural hair is absolutely beautiful, you'll probably assume that by my icon i'm white, and that would be correct, but i'm also a multi ethnic hair-stylist. as long as you keep your hair moisturized it will be just fine, since african american well curlly hair in general is scientifically proven to be the dryest of all hair types.

Black girls, How do you feel about black girls with natural hair and being opposed to perms?

I think it's good that you wear you hair natural, you have soul. Erykah Badu, wears her hair natural as well. I don't think there's anything wrong with that. Is that how you want it or do you want a perm?

Black girls, How do you feel about black girls with natural hair and being opposed to perms?

It's crazy because I just answered a question like yours. A girl asked if she should get a afro and will guys think its cute. Everyone scolded her and said afro's are gross and its 2007. I don't understand why people are scared to be themselves? Most of us are born w/ curly hair accept it. I love my hair it doesn't make me as a person, just another beautiful thing about being Black. Whatever makes you happy you should rock it. Like I told her if you look good, no one can hate.

Black girls, How do you feel about black girls with natural hair and being opposed to perms?

whats the big deal. Some people like their hair permed and others like it natural. Its all beautiful. Personally im sick and tired of the "permed/natural hair is better" debate. I think its stupid that black women divide themselves over hair. We should embrace the differences and move on. As a double minority we should find something else to focus on like equality in the workplace or holding a political office .

Black girls, How do you feel about black girls with natural hair and being opposed to perms?

well if you turn comb it...and put something in your hair to define the girls...you're going to get people calling it nappy... b/c it'll probably look frizzy...when you'r hair is wet...the curls are untouched...get it to look like that...b/c when you comb it it will look like a big puff

and make sure it's well oiled....both me and my friend wanted to have our hair natural again...but I'm just really lazy lol...

Black girls, How do you feel about black girls with natural hair and being opposed to perms?

natural is good

Black girls, How do you feel about black girls with natural hair and being opposed to perms?

when you wear a natural, it should be cut correctly and picked out. these days most brothers and sisters don't know how to wear a natural.

thats why people say it looks nappy. back in the day, you had your hair braided for a few days, then you picked it out to wear the fro. also you spray oil sheen on it after you picked it.

its a pretty hairstyle if worn correctly.

Black girls, How do you feel about black girls with natural hair and being opposed to perms?

I say some things r made 4 different people! not racist! my babies father is white! but black people perms r not our style! i see lots of black people hair fall out from perm and they wonder weres the ball spots coming from!duh! perms should be a white person thing! straightening combs!if u feel me! has been in generations 4 ever!get to em'

Black girls, How do you feel about black girls with natural hair and being opposed to perms?

How do you keep sewn in weave tracks from showing in the front of the head with ALL natural hair cor

Which cornrow pattern is best for a long layered sewn in weave to keep the tracks from showing after braiding ALL natural hair?

How do you keep sewn in weave tracks from showing in the front of the head with ALL natural hair cornrowed?

You want to do a circular pattern that goes around your head, and avoid starting any braids from the front of your head. Then you'll want to sew in the weave in a way that will allow you to have a bang.

You can also leave out some of your hair in the front, and cornrow the rest. Once you sew in the tracks, you can just blend the loose hair in with the weave. You may have to flat-iron it to make is smooth. That was you won't have to have a bang.

Good luck!

How do you keep sewn in weave tracks from showing in the front of the head with ALL natural hair cornrowed?

they would have to sew the hair in or do the cornrows so that the hair covers it(ie side swept bangs and such)

btw a curly weave would conceal it more than straight one

I've been dying my hair black for 5-6 years. How do i go back to my natural brown hair color?

I've loved my hair black and others tell me they love it too, but i really wish i could go back to my natural hair color. How would i go about that without having to strip my hiar at a salon?

I've been dying my hair black for 5-6 years. How do i go back to my natural brown hair color?

Stripping it can really ruin it.The safest way to do it to just let it grow out and keep cutting it off. If you put a color over it,it won't do anything, your hair will still be black.

I've been dying my hair black for 5-6 years. How do i go back to my natural brown hair color?

you could try striping your hair yourself (buy a bleach kit) then wait a couple of days and buy some brown hair dye ( a little darker than your natural). but to let you know, i tried that, and it didnt work out quite as planned. maybe i didnt saturate the hair enough... Anyhoo, if you want to keep your hair healthy, you should go to a salon. they know what they are doing.

I've been dying my hair black for 5-6 years. How do i go back to my natural brown hair color?

i would dye my hair the next lightest shade to the one you have now, and when that starts to fade go to the next lightest. This way you wont ruin your hair as much as just dying back exactly to what it was before

I've been dying my hair black for 5-6 years. How do i go back to my natural brown hair color?

coloring shampoos. if you have black hair, it will take a few washes before itll be brown again but it will eventually change back. or you could wait to grow it out

I've been dying my hair black for 5-6 years. How do i go back to my natural brown hair color?

Get as close to your natural shade as you can with hair color and it will eventually grow out not looking as bad as it would if black.

I've been dying my hair black for 5-6 years. How do i go back to my natural brown hair color?

what u need to is this dye ur hair as light as it willl go even if u have to go blonde then u can go brown it tke some time as ur hair is black hair i saw a gril with black hair and she dyed her hair blonde not bright blonde

good luck with it

I've been dying my hair black for 5-6 years. How do i go back to my natural brown hair color?

Dont strip it..Go to the salon and have them put some foils in it...They will use bleach to bring up the color a couple of shades then they will put a color toner over that afew shades lighter than the black...Most likely a carmel color or chestnut brown....That way you will slowly get back to your normal color without going thru the hassle of stripping...Stripping involves a mild bleach all over and usually takes you to an orangey color..be safe get some foils put in..You will like it much better.....Only makes sense....

I've been dying my hair black for 5-6 years. How do i go back to my natural brown hair color?

Try dying your hair as close to your natural color as possible. Go about a shade darker though so that when it starts to fade it will lighten to about the actual color of your natural hair. That way when your hair starts to grow out, it'll be hard if not nearly impossible to see the roots. Try a brand called Natural Match. I use it and I absolutly love it. I wouldn't go back to any other brand.

I've been dying my hair black for 5-6 years. How do i go back to my natural brown hair color?

Simply dying your hair will not do the trick. Your hair has to be stripped first to avoid it taking on an unnatural color. Unless you use a bleaching agent any color you put on will not be able to deposit onto that dark of a color. I would highly suggest going to a salon to have this done though because if you strip it yourself you will probably end up frying it or coming out with green or neon yellow hair.

Are sew-in weaves good for African American natural hair?

I was thinking of a way to grow my natural hair without messing with it much until I get it to the length I want.

Are sew-in weaves good for African American natural hair?

YES! I wear sew in weaves quite a bit and my hair grows! However, make sure you have the ends trimmed every six - eight weeks, make sure the stylist does not braid your hair too tight (this could cause breakage, especially around the edges). In addition, continue to allow your hair to "breath" and use a good conditioner and moisturizer for your own hair. Last but not least, make sure that this is a licensed professional!

Are sew-in weaves good for African American natural hair?

yeah

Are sew-in weaves good for African American natural hair?

yeah alot of African Americans have sew in weaves

Are sew-in weaves good for African American natural hair?

Good? Not really, but not bad either. As long as they aren't too tight (red bumps on scalp) then it's perfectly fine for your hair.

Are sew-in weaves good for African American natural hair?

I would never expose my rabbit to anything unnatural. If bunny is losing "hare", kill it and eat it!

Are sew-in weaves good for African American natural hair?

It is not good but the best option. Adding false hair by sewing in weaves also creates stress to the hair by styling (toughing and pulling to style hair). It is good however that your hair is natural because permed hair along with sewn in extentions is especially hard to maintain. Most importantly, it is important that you condition and moisturize your hair (not the braids) to maintain its health and also consider its length of time (three months at the most). Bottom line is the best way to gain length is to grow it.

What is a good Shampoo and Conditioner for a natural black hair?

Okay, so Im black and I have natural hair. I love my hair to death, its awesome, lol. But I don't think I am giving it enough care because I'm not using a very good shampoo and conditioner. I heard that Paul Mitchell has a very good shampoo and conditioner, and I'm thinking about getting those. But I just wanted some more options before I decide. =]

try the kind from pantene..it illuminizes the natural colour of your black hair because it's specially made for black hair.

What is a good Shampoo and Conditioner for a natural black hair?

When I was wearing my hair natural, I used (and still use) Pantene Relaxed %26amp; Natural for women of color shampoo. It's very moisturizing on it's own and I've never encountered any problems with it. And I have normal kinky Black hair.

As far as conditioner's go, I really like Nature's Therapy Mega Moisture Conditioner by L'Oreal. I pick it up at Sally's.

Also, Silk Elements makes a really good Leave-In Hair Moisturizing Creme. It's not a heavy, oily moisturizer, it's absorbs quickly without a heavy residue.

After using a commercial hair dye how long would I have to wait to use walnut powder as a natural ha

I have read about using walnut powder (either alone or mixed with henna) as a natural hair coloring. I just can't find any information on how long I would have to wait after using a commercial dye. Has anyone used eith of these to color gray hair? Any information would be appreciated.

After using a commercial hair dye how long would I have to wait to use walnut powder as a natural hair dye?

If you would like to start using natural products for your hair, yes, give your hair a little break from dyes. perhaps about 3 weeks at least when you will ready again anyhow.

Usually most of my clients use indigo and along with henna or alone to cover their grays. Walnut husk powder is usually used as an additive to bring out brown tones. It isn't as popular as the use of henna and indigo. Plus the lack of use is because some are allergic to walnuts.

I would recommend you try using henna along with indigo to get brown tones to cover your grey. The henna really helps get better coverage as well. The indigo can be slippy sometimes and it usues the henna'ed hair to cling to better and get better color results.

You also might like using henna alone as some with grey hair, when you don't have too much, gives you nice highlights in your hair. It just depends on your hair tone as well.

If you want more one on one feel free to email me

Hope this helps

Do I have to cut my afro-relaxed hair short, in order to go back to natural? Or is there another way

I had natural hair up till I was 19. I've relaxed it now for 4 years but I'm contemplating going back to my roots. My hair is long so Im scared of losing its length in the process but I'm more confident now that I can find interesting styles to wear once it is natural. Help me!

Do I have to cut my afro-relaxed hair short, in order to go back to natural? Or is there another way?

No you do not have to go and chop off all the relaxed hair at once. You could cut the relaxed portions off an inch at a time if that made it easier for you. Wear your hair in a bun and cut it every month. You can also wash your hair at night, braid it up then take it down in the morning so the relaxer hair matches your natural texture. Or you can get braids. Doing a big chop like that is hard, I shaved my head twice and wanted to die each time.

Do I have to cut my afro-relaxed hair short, in order to go back to natural? Or is there another way?

Yes the only way to go back to natural is to cut off the relaxed part of your hair. I would suggest not getting perm for a few months, to allow your roots to grow out natural and unrelaxed, and also using a shampoo with balsam in it, because balsam will strip some of the perm from your hair causing it to revert to an almost natural state. You can also take vitamins such as prenatal vitamins and/or hair and nail vitamins to promote growth while you wait for your roots to grow out. I would also suggest washing frequently and massaging your scalp with conditioner to stimulate blood circulation and growth.

Why can't celebrities like Paris, Jessica Simpson, Beyonce and Tayra Banks wear their own natur

Just to a name a few. Are their hairs short and thin? All of these women are beautiful. Why are they ashamed of their natural hair?

Why can't celebrities like Paris, Jessica Simpson, Beyonce and Tayra Banks wear their own natural hair?

haha i agree save the real human hair for the people who had to go through kemo

Why can't celebrities like Paris, Jessica Simpson, Beyonce and Tayra Banks wear their own natural hair?

I have seen Hilton walk around with extremely short hair, so I assume when it is very long, they are nothing but extensions. And I loved that first answer.. leaving the hair for those who are unwell and could realy use it.

Why can't celebrities like Paris, Jessica Simpson, Beyonce and Tayra Banks wear their own natural hair?

Paris Hilton has very thin short hair, but she looks way better without that wig...

Jessica Simpson has great hair, so i dont know why she insist on wearing fakae hair.

Beyonce..well, i dont know if her hair is real or fake..

I think its a matter of self acceptance and also looks, you know how hollywood is....F.A.K.E

Why can't celebrities like Paris, Jessica Simpson, Beyonce and Tayra Banks wear their own natural hair?

Because, like you, they are human beings and they have the same rights as you to do what they want with their hair.

Why can't celebrities like Paris, Jessica Simpson, Beyonce and Tayra Banks wear their own natural hair?

Because hair extensions are fun sometimes. Why does anyone wear hair extensions? To get a different look! Hell I've even worn hair extensions before and they were pink. They looked awesome. Much better than ruining your hair by bleaching and dying it. Hair extensions don't damage your hair like bleaching/dying does.

Why can't celebrities like Paris, Jessica Simpson, Beyonce and Tayra Banks wear their own natural hair?

cos they are fake

Why can't celebrities like Paris, Jessica Simpson, Beyonce and Tayra Banks wear their own natural hair?

They like to have their cake and eat it too. You know here today and gone tomorrow.

Why can't celebrities like Paris, Jessica Simpson, Beyonce and Tayra Banks wear their own natural hair?

I think its just the trend right now. If I had money I would get some.

Why can't celebrities like Paris, Jessica Simpson, Beyonce and Tayra Banks wear their own natural hair?

Maybe they're not ashemd, maybe they just like the weave better and c'mon if they walked around with their real hair and im black so i know, they probably would look completely different

Why can't celebrities like Paris, Jessica Simpson, Beyonce and Tayra Banks wear their own natural hair?

Your right, they shouldnt be ashamed of their own hair, but sadly it is hollywood, the land of the fake.

And I thought it was nice to suggest leaving it for cancer patients. To bad you selfish son of b.tches dont agree.

Why can't celebrities like Paris, Jessica Simpson, Beyonce and Tayra Banks wear their own natural hair?

I agree what youre saying but MOST people wear hair extensions to get a DIFFERENT look. Nobody likes wearing the same ole style all the time, that gets boring. I have hair that goes alittle past my shoulders and I wear extensions all the time, I dont like having the same style.

Why can't celebrities like Paris, Jessica Simpson, Beyonce and Tayra Banks wear their own natural hair?

It's a image thing. Both beyonce and tyra wears weave and has said it on national tv.

Why can't celebrities like Paris, Jessica Simpson, Beyonce and Tayra Banks wear their own natural hair?

gaga they want to look like Barbie doll lol

What product can I use to get my natural hair color back?

African-ameraican. Want to go back to my natural hair color. Which is a dirty brown color????

What product can I use to get my natural hair color back?

Dawn dish soap. Wash and repeat... and repeat... and repeat... it will fade the color back to its natural color. Its the only way I know of to speed up a perm. color treatment. My friend was a plat. blonde (natural) and tried to go red, but it ended up turning purple. We had to wash it with Dawn Dish Soap ALL day to make it turn a a dirty blond color.

What product can I use to get my natural hair color back?

What did you use to dye it? If you used semi-permanent color you should be fine, it will wash out; if you used a permanent color you will have to either wait until it grows out or have a colorist get it back to brown.

What product can I use to get my natural hair color back?

if your hair has been lighten which i am assumingit has, don't get jet black. if your hair now has gold in it and you want that tone gone get dark ash brown. Clairol natural instincts is a good choice, it is gentle. Expect to have to apply one more time in a few weeks especially if your hair is dry and damage. hope this helps

How to ease the transition back to your natural hair color?

I am naturally dark blonde, and have been dying it a few shades lighter.I hate the look of roots, but do want to go back to my natural color.Any suggestions on what to do during the in between stage? My hair is fairly short.

How to ease the transition back to your natural hair color?

im doing teh smae thing i choose a color that was still close to my natural color but lighter kinda a camrael color and its fading nicely you jsut ahve to find a color thats blends between them

How to ease the transition back to your natural hair color?

Maybe you can get highlights. Only certain strands will be colored and blended in with your natural hair color.

How to ease the transition back to your natural hair color?

Find a hair dye color closest to your natural color (if you're stuck between 2, pick the darker one, since you dyed your hair lighter) and dye it just one more time. That should help.

How to ease the transition back to your natural hair color?

just let just be ,,,,in few month ur natural color hair come up

aproxx 3 month

How to ease the transition back to your natural hair color?

i would put in some low-lites the color of your natural color to make the transition easier

How to ease the transition back to your natural hair color?

Try getting low lights.Instead of getting highlights (lighter than natural), ask for low lights (same or darker the natural). If you get low lights the same color as your natural hair it will make it look like you have very few highlights until eventually, your hair is all one color. This enables you to go back in stages, instead of dramitically changing your hair at one time. Make sure you sit down and look at the swatches of hair together. Let your stylist make the final decision, but ALWAYS make sure you know what color is going on your hair.

How to ease the transition back to your natural hair color?

ok i am a hair designer color wont lift color but color will color over color if u want to go darker u r ok if u cant afford to go to the beauty shop use loreal they invented color so there the best to go buy now u need to choose your exact level of color look in the top part in the lite go to the store hope they have swatches and choose the 1 thats closest to ur new growth and color your entire head now incase u burn use one packet of pink saccerine in the dye and your scalp will not burn old hair stylist trick leave this on at least 25 min to deposit you should be all set and goodluck i hope i have helped you no need to wait but member loreal is the best over the counter have fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is there something I can mix w/ my natural hair dye to make it darker?

I have this all natural hair dye that's called light mahogany chestnut, and it's sort of a light reddish purple color i guess, but with brown undertones. and I was wondering if I could mix anything with it to make it a darker color.

Is there something I can mix w/ my natural hair dye to make it darker?

darling if you want it darker used henna chao amiga ingsaludosssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss

Is there something I can mix w/ my natural hair dye to make it darker?

If you are not a colorist then please, oh please, don't try it. There are some great coloring kits out there with highlights and lowlights..get one.

What is the best way to make my hair look decent while letting it grow to its natural color?

My natural hair color is dark brown. It has been highlighted so much that it basically turned all blonde. I have been letting it grow for seven weeks and it is looking horrible. I have been telling people that they will have to get used to looking at it while it all grows out. I need some help with the look while I am waiting. Any suggestions?

What is the best way to make my hair look decent while letting it grow to its natural color?

This is easily done by applying a semi or demi permanent hair color close to ur natural hair color, just pick a color one shade lighter than ur natural cuz it will grab on the highlighted part, make sure it is natural or neutral base, no red, gold ash, etc. it wont take long for it to take, so watch it, if you dont want to go so drastic as to cover all up then do a reverse highlight, pull some thru a cap and apply same color described as above on that, u will still have some highlights left and it wont be so drastic. semi and demi colors are for depositing so ur hair will feel healthier and look shinier with some color put back in. use a good color shampoo and conditioner to help color last. I do this procedure all the time on clients

What is the best way to make my hair look decent while letting it grow to its natural color?

try adding darker highlights...

What is the best way to make my hair look decent while letting it grow to its natural color?

Have it colored close to your natural color...

What is the best way to make my hair look decent while letting it grow to its natural color?

go to the hair dresser and have her dye it all a color that is close to your natural color.

What is the best way to make my hair look decent while letting it grow to its natural color?

find a rinse,( not a peroxide color) close to your natural hair color. That will balance that bad look out for about 20 washes. Good luck, I know it works, just did my girlfriends hair.

What is the best way to make my hair look decent while letting it grow to its natural color?

You should try to dye it back to your original color (as close as you can) so while its growing out people will not notice! :) hope it helped

What is the best way to make my hair look decent while letting it grow to its natural color?

Dye it back as close as you can to your natural color, then it will look better immediately. Dyeing it darker doesn't damage it as much as lightening it, because you don't need to strip any color out (less bleaching products).

What is the best way to make my hair look decent while letting it grow to its natural color?

as it grows out, add small blonde highlights, gradually adding less and less and it will all blend together. or just color it all brown, you can have just about any color you want from blonde. i have bleached my hair like you wouldnt believe, and i just add a few more highlights and it really helps avoid the 'trashy and feelin foxy' look.

What is the best way to make my hair look decent while letting it grow to its natural color?

cut it shorter and wear a hat

What is the best way to make my hair look decent while letting it grow to its natural color?

color it dark brown.

What is the best way to make my hair look decent while letting it grow to its natural color?

If you'll get your stylist to add lowlights (darker streaks...the exact opposite of highlights), it will ease your transition back to your natural hair color. If you do decide to dye it, go to a professional. With that much blonde in your hair, dying at home could lead to some color emergencies.

What is the best way to make my hair look decent while letting it grow to its natural color?

i would try redkens shades eq to color over your highlites and blend them with your natural hair color. shades eq is non ammoniated and wont harm your hair the color is very conditioning and shiny so your hair will look healthier! to find a colorist near you visit redken.com!

What is the best way to make my hair look decent while letting it grow to its natural color?

Get shades or rinses put on it to blend into your natural color. That way (instead of permanent dyes or semi) it makes your hair stay more healthy and shiny.

Has anyone been to the urbanbella salon for people with natural hair?

is it expensive ? do they do hair that is trasitionig from relaxed to natural and if so how much new growth you have to have ?

Has anyone been to the urbanbella salon for people with natural hair?

I haven't been there but from what I can tell they don't discriminate. Their name and specialty is naturally curly and wavy hair.

"Urbanbella is a retailer in Atlanta, GA that personally delivers product solutions for women with curly, kinky and wavy hair textures. "

Question about what kind of red highlights to get for my darkbrown-black natural hair color?

I need to get my hair highlighted tomorrow and I prefer a dark red shade on my natural head of darkbrown-black tint. I want it to look like a mahogany/auburn in the sunlight when I am out so it's shiny and dark red. Not sure if you have seen but Indian girls do get this shade of red done on their hair, it looks like henna but the highlights are a dark red. What shade of highlights is that exactly?

Question about what kind of red highlights to get for my darkbrown-black natural hair color?

You can get those shades of highlight that you are looking for, by just using natural body art quality henna powder from a good source. It must be pure and you can do this all yourself. Check out longhaircareforum.com, as its a great ressource for information.

Doing henna on your hair will be the best !! Hope this helps

Question about what kind of red highlights to get for my darkbrown-black natural hair color?

I know the look you are talking about and in my opion its quite beautiful.

The exact colour that you end up with depends largely on the exact colour of your hair, and if you have dyed your hair already or not.

I would recommend having it done at a salon. They will show you samples of different colours (on hair strands) so you can pick which shades you like the best, and then they will custom mix it depending on your existing colour etc to get the desired effect.

But if you wanted a cheaper way, you could talk to the cosmatician at the local pharmacy and get her opinion. It might not turn out quite as you imagined, but it would be a cheaper alternative.

Be careful with reds though, I would recommend using the special shampoos and conditioners designed for red hair. Red fades the quickest of all dyed colours, and could turn orangish or pinkish in no time if not taken care of properly.

Good luck!

Why would someone say dreads or afros are out of style, when that's a person's natural hai

all hair isn't straight. in fact wouldn't you get tired of the same boring straight hair look. geez.

afros/dreads are for all people of all races, not just blacks. :O)

in fact afros/dreads is how most of our hair looks naturally, without combs.

so it should be a.) accepted b.) not labelled political c.) not stared at as foreign, and d.) classic (there is no time for them to be worn, how can natural hair be a trend? when straight hair isn't a trend?)

if America is so diverse, why can't people wear their tribal clothes/wear their tribal accessories/hair the way they want to without stupid scrutiny.

Why would someone say dreads or afros are out of style, when that's a person's natural hair?

Natural hair is the best . I think the key thing is self acceptance . Afros are beautiful !

Why would someone say dreads or afros are out of style, when that's a person's natural hair?

Yeah, I totally agree with you.

Why would someone say dreads or afros are out of style, when that's a person's natural hair?

it's just fashion, you don't have to take remarks if you don't want.

I liked afros when they were in, in the 70s. I can't stand this shaved look, they look like thugs

Why would someone say dreads or afros are out of style, when that's a person's natural hair?

afros are natural.

but dreads aren't. if you dont have combs, your hair is tangly. you acctually have to work realy hard to get them. not just by not brushing

What are the best products to use on natural African American hair?

I've decided that I don't want to continue relaxing my hair, but it's been so long since I've had natural hair. I just need to know what sort of products I should use.

What are the best products to use on natural African American hair?

I've gone natural for four years. Best thing I ever did! My hair is in my mid-back and very healthy. I had to go through a lot of garbage to find a few products that seem to be quite good. You don't need a bunch of products. (I learned the hard way!). If you don't want to use expensive products, "Organics" is a good haircare line. They use a lot of natural ingredients and most of their products don't contain alcohol. Alcohol is the number one killer for breakage next to poor hair maintainance! It dries out your hair like crazy! When you have natural hair, you need moisture! If you don't mind spending a bit of money, "Ojon" is an excellent haircare line for natrual hair! I'll tell you what I'm using for myself. I'm using "Pantene Hydrating Curls" shampoo and conditioner. Sometimes I use "At One With Nature" too. I always use the "Reconstructor Conditioner" detangler in the "At One With Nature" line no matter what shampoo I'm using. It's an amazing detangler! With the length of my hair, I need something to comb through this huge amount of hair I have! (I have enough for three people! lol!) I use the "Ojon" treatment and the leave in spray treatment. That is what has made my hair so strong. It was breaking and those products restored my hair to the state it's in now. Great stuff! As a moisturizer, I use the serum in the "Organics" line. I find cream moisturizers are messy on natural hair and most times don't provide the moisture needed. To give my hair some sheen and added moisture, I use the Tea-Tree Shine Strengthening Hair Polish from "Organics". It leaves a nice sheen, and provides moisture. I hope this helped. It was lengthy and I'm sorry for the long read. Good luck on grooming your natural hair!

What are the best products to use on natural African American hair?

I work on African textured hair a lot....I always recommend using a leave in treatment (don't forget to defuse hair) such as Bumble and bumble leave in conditioner (can be used on all hair types.)

It is great in quality and can be used as a wash out conditioner as well.

Dont wash your hair more than four days a week! You dont want to dry your hair out.

Use a wide toothed comb to untangle wet hair (which is most fragile.) Comb bottom of hair and work your way up.

Curl enhancer products that are good:

Osis Twist, works fast and will help your curls!

Ouidad climate control gel- Helps fill the cuticle and delivers amino acids and proteins to the hair.

Finger curl your hair in front so your curls look even better (do when your product is in and hair is still damp)

Make sure you use a anti frizz serum last which I would recommend Osis magic anti frizz gloss serum (get at salons)

Good luck and take your time keeping it healthy!!!

What are the best products to use on natural African American hair?

u should use natural hair products or olive root stimulator those are the best i been using cocunut oil brand name is parachute and it makes my hair shiny and soft and real black i still do have a perm and all. why dont u go to an indian community and pick up some hair products its very cheap trust me

What are the best products to use on natural African American hair?

I've been natural 2 years in April and I'm loving every minute of it! I would suggest www.nappturality.com for all your natural hair care needs, especially during transition as it was a life saver for me. I steer clear of most hair products because of the alcohol and "cone" found in so many. Get yourself a good conditioner and "lace" it with nutrients. I rarely shampoo, only conditioner washes. I use Suave Coconut Conditioner and add a bit of honey and olive oil for natural humectants which lock in moisture. For added mosturizer the best kept secret for me is Burt's Bees Bath and Body oil made from lemon and sweet almond oil extracts. That's pretty much all that I use and my hair feels light and airy all day. If you're wanting to slick hair back into a puff try natural aloe vera gel which you can by at central market or whole foods stores. Once a month I use a apple cider vinegar rinse made from that and water to get rid of any build up. Hope this helps!

What are the best products to use on natural African American hair?

Why are black women not proud of their natural hair? why do they pay to look unpretty?

i luv my natural hair black women ..am proud of u ..and believe me, u look more pretty than wearing some obviously fake a** extension.....

Why are black women not proud of their natural hair? why do they pay to look unpretty?

well i am east indian and i think black women look way better with their afros (no offense) it looks much healthier and better and cuter

Why are black women not proud of their natural hair? why do they pay to look unpretty?

i love black hair. i don't understand why there are people out there that don't. black hair is beautiful!!!! Report It

Why are black women not proud of their natural hair? why do they pay to look unpretty?

GO THE FRO!!!

Why are black women not proud of their natural hair? why do they pay to look unpretty?

Peer group pressure to assimilate to the crowd. i.e. the lowest common denominator

Why are black women not proud of their natural hair? why do they pay to look unpretty?

Yeah! what's up with that my best friend has the most beautiful black long wavy hair down to her back and she's black and a very beatiful complection but recently she got a wild streak in her and she dyed it blonde and oh! my gosh it looks bad for her type of complexion but I would not want to hurt her feelings for nothing we been friends for over 6 years and I just could not hurt her feelings because she likes it for a change so if she likes it and is happy with it for a temporary change I guess I can get use to it also, it cost her almost $70.00 dollars, that's crazy.

Why are black women not proud of their natural hair? why do they pay to look unpretty?

I agree. I prefer my hair natural.

Why are black women not proud of their natural hair? why do they pay to look unpretty?

Relaxer or not. I'm still a BEAUTIFUL BLACK QUEEN and I love my hair and am VERY proud it. It blows in the wind and I keep it trimmed and neatly styled. I don't pay hundreds of dollars to keep my hair in check. I don't even think about it being natural or relaxed, I just love it. My hair grows fast, its full and it's down my back and it's ALL mine. No glue ins and no extensions. I've never had any complaints from any man that I've been with about how I choose to wear it. It's all a matter of choice. If a black woman wants to go natural, it's HER choice. Relaxer, HER choice. So for you to say we look "unpretty"-well that's merely your opinion. You say that you're proud of us? Well then respect the fact that we as black women make the choices that we make about our beauty and style and that you're proud of us no matter what.

Why are black women not proud of their natural hair? why do they pay to look unpretty?

I agree black women who know how to take care of their natura hair look ten times better than those with broken relaxers or fake weaves......

The Problem:

Most black women dont know how to propery take care of their kinky hair and they are tooo lazy or scared to find out. So they give the most popular excuse "I use relaxers because it makes my hair more manageable"...But being natural myself I can tell you its eaiser to be natural, with relaxers you really have to be on top of your hair because breakage is right outside the door trying to get in.

To Texas::::

Here we go again with the whole "Choice"...Majority of black women dont use relaxers b/c of choice...they do it b/c that's what they've been TAUGHT by their mothers....Black women are the ONLY race that have relaxers marketed to our children...White ppl dont have little susie face over a bottle of bleach or curly perm, but why is it ok for black women?......Is it because we dont like our own hair?

Most black women would rather walk around with horrible looing broken relaxed hair than to try to go natural...Most black women think that natural hair is hard to deal with or men would find it unattractive.

Well it's not...our natural hair is different and needs to be handled differetly..but most dont know this b/c they've been using relaxers since they were young, so they NEVER got a chance to know to properly take care of their hair..Then when they grow up, and have girls they are not going to know what to do with the hair...so they give their girls relaxers and the cycle continues.

Does L'Oreals ColorZap Haircolour Remover remove all hair colour pigments in my hair including

or just the permenant dye i don't want? my natural hair colour is blonde but i dyed it black a year ago its not exactly jet black anymore its more dark dark brown with bits of the longer parts brownish i want all the dark taken out i still dont want it my light natural blonde because its to much of a change. so i want to buy L'oreals colorzap haircolor remover but i was wondering does this product remove ALL hair colour or just the dyes. im not that bothered because i will be dying over the colour well it says you have to so ill be dying it brown. but i want to know what to expect! so if anyone has used this product before tell me what i have to do and what to expect! thanks x

Does L'Oreals ColorZap Haircolour Remover remove all hair colour pigments in my hair including natural colour?

i found out that when you use any type of hair paint stripper that it wont exactly remove any permanent color...

it left my hair with some weird streaks.....

colors that i havent seen in many years and it wasnt an even removal either

if its permanent it wont effectively remove it all...

the paint stripper also left my hair with an ugly rust color...(my natural hair that is a medium brown)

you can try going to a salon so they can remove the hair color and they can evenly dye it the color you want.....or once all the color is evenly removed you can then dye your hair on your own.....

i dyed my hair black about 4-5 years ago and its never came out....ine never tried the color zap but have tried SEVERAL OTHER brands and like i said it just doesnt come off evenly.....i did it again about a week later and some of the black finally came out....till this day there is still some black that never came out....and I cant dye over it.....

your best bet is to go to a salon......

hope ive helped

.

Does L'Oreals ColorZap Haircolour Remover remove all hair colour pigments in my hair including natural colour?

I've tried the colorZap stuff, and i liked it. but it didnt take away all of the color. i had naturally blonde, and i died it bright purple. now its a blueish color. i guess just naturally fading would be the best option.

Does L'Oreals ColorZap Haircolour Remover remove all hair colour pigments in my hair including natural colour?

it's meant to strip all color, dye and natural...in the end your hair will end up green or orange

I have rebonded my hair 3 times already. Now I want a new look. I want my natural hair back. Is ther

Or is there any way to get a more natural look? A method that will keep my hair soft wavy and natural.

I have rebonded my hair 3 times already. Now I want a new look. I want my natural hair back. Is there a way?

If you mean that you have bleached your hair three times, then it is time for a rest. At least two or three months of some serious treatment, the best conditioner, and trims. Redken treatment, Matrix conditioning balm, is your best bet. then sure you may go back to your natural color. Just make sure that you go to a stylist who knows what they are doing. What ever color you put on there, you need a filler first, because putting color on blonde hair is not going to turn the shade you want. It will grab the undertones of the color, weather it is violet, green, orange, pink; that is the color you will have. Use something with a red base in it first, and that will be your filler, or a yellow, then you can go with the color of your choice and it should give you something that if it isn't exact it should be pretty close. I would recommend that you go to a good salon, and let the experts do it instead of trying this one yourself, it cost alot less to get it done right the first time, then to have to go to a salon to get something you did wrong corrected. Good Luck.

I have rebonded my hair 3 times already. Now I want a new look. I want my natural hair back. Is there a way?

Well, usually rebonded hair won't get its natural beauty back, but that is okay... if you are hoping for a natural look, try to curl your hair, wide curls I mean...whenever you are going anywhere, don't pony tailed or do stuffs with your hair, but just let it go like that. i call that natural, ya know???

I have rebonded my hair 3 times already. Now I want a new look. I want my natural hair back. Is there a way?

some time after rebonding, trim your hair. the effect of rebonding should wear off after half a year, on average. at most, its a year. so you can just wait. in the meantime, use curler to achieve natural waves! have fun

Can i get a perm out of my hair and go natural?

my natural hair is thick %26amp; curly/wavey n i got a pem wen iwas 9 now i want my nnatural hair bak is ther neways 2 get it out of my hair for good and havmy aturally goodhair pleeeezzz tell wen i look bac on pics i wanna cry lol!!!!?

Can i get a perm out of my hair and go natural?

You would have to continue to let it grow out and not put anymore chemical on it. During this process you are going to have to cut the chemical part out little by little.

Can i get a perm out of my hair and go natural?

yes u can get your hair back natural by using budweiser wash your hair with it a three of times the last time leave it in for about half and hour. Report It

Can i get a perm out of my hair and go natural?

Yes, stop perming it, and/or cut it off. Start fresh. If you've been perming your hair that long though, you may not have the exact texture now that you had then.

Can i get a perm out of my hair and go natural?

Yes,but only if you grow it out and cut off the permed part.

I need help! Braids were in for six months! Can't comb through natural hair!?

I have natural hair. When I took out my braids the "clunky stuff" or residue left behind from months of re-twisting (gel) and just plain old dirt are almost impossible to unlock. I have been washing, using conditioner, and even Organic Root Stimulator's Herbal Cleanse to try and gently comb out the "clunky stuff". Black women, you know what I'm talking about! But do you have a secret to recovering after braids? I'm not getting a relaxer, as I said my hair is natural, but usually this would be my solution. I've tried saturating my hair with conditioner, but that didn't help either. Neither did hair grease or Pink lotion. Help!!

I need help! Braids were in for six months! Can't comb through natural hair!?

Try leaving in conditioner overnight and put a plastic curl cap over your head to let the conditioner set. Then in the a.m. wash out in the shower and as you are washing out the conditioner gently comb thru hair by parting and starting at the back of you head. See if that works. I hope it does. If it does then wash with shampoo and condition again and proceed to style as usual. Its great that you hair is natural I think that is beautiful!!

As you know keeping the braids in for 6 months or even one month you hair will shed heavily so if you see more hair than usual in the comb don't be alarmed its common.

I need help! Braids were in for six months! Can't comb through natural hair!?

The only thing I can think of is calm down. Then get a gentle clarifying shampoo like paul mithcell shampoo three or nexxus aloe rid. Then take little dime sized squirts of shampoo and rub it through the dirt.

Next time you get braids make sure you wash it so things like this don't happen.

I need help! Braids were in for six months! Can't comb through natural hair!?

You need to do a HOT oil treatment.

Then section it off. And Shampoo(clarifying or add baking soda to your reglular shampoo) it. Comb it with the shampoo still in it.

If not working,

Then DEEP condition it. And try some detangler.

I need help! Braids were in for six months! Can't comb through natural hair!?

Girl . . . now why did you keep those braids in for 6 months! Anyway, at this point all you can do is to carefully finger comb through that build-up using some type of oil, possibly olive oil or any type like that. If you want to keep a lot of your hair, it will take time, but you can work it out. My hair is natural and I never keep braids longer than 8 weeks, usually less. So, once you finger comb and work that oil into that "gunk" it should soften a bit. Then, take a small tooth comb and easily part through that stuff. Then put conditioner in all over (A LOT!) and let it sit. At that point it should be loosened up quite a bit. Finally, comb it out carefully! Note that you will lose what looks like a lot of hair, but hair sheds naturally daily, so think of 6 months of shedding. And, next time girl, don't keep your braids in that long!

I need help! Braids were in for six months! Can't comb through natural hair!?

I think you should go to a NICE salon and Have them fix it( maybe you should think of cutting it??)

I need help! Braids were in for six months! Can't comb through natural hair!?

i was in the same situation, but next time you get them i think it wuld be better to take them out after 4 month thats what i learned, anyways i got all the resudie out by usuing a shampp called sunsilk anti shine i garuntiee it will work and try the new herbal essenses in the blue bottle make sure its the conditioner so you can mix them up and dont worry it wont affects your hair if you mix different shampoo and condtioners, then you should just moisterize your hair daily with blue magic its in a tub and the stuff is green but the tub is clear also you can use motions at home hair lotions it a oil moisturizer and it detangles softerns and conditions hair so it will be easy to take out those nots, once you have out those nots i recommend infusium 23 origanl in a brown and white bottle spray it in your hair daily,

hope this helps
